ClassicRockRevisited reports that Boston
bandleader Tom Scholz has clarified news that Boston members would
reunite for a tribute to their late lead singer Brad Delp, who killed
himself earlier this year. Scholz now says that he has "invited" members
Sib Hashian, Barry Goudreau, Fran Sheehan, and Fran Cosmo to perform
"Don't Look Back" at the concert. He also says that Sammy Hagar, Michael
Sweet of Stryper, and Mickey Thomas of Starship have all offered to sing
in place of Delp.
The tribute concert,
called Come Together, will be held August 29th at Boston's Bank of
America Pavilion, according to the Boston Herald.
Other acts performing at
the event include Orion The Hunter, RTZ, Godsmack, Farrenheit,
Beatlejuice, and Ernie & the Automatics. Special guests will include
Robin Zander of Cheap Trick and Gary Cherone of Extreme and Van Halen.
